in addition, you would have to set a default locale for it, then restart
speakup after the locale dialogs to make it use the end user's locale.
[ language being used strongly influenced by user's lcale settings ;) ]

thought of this just after I sent the first message, but was on my way
to work so couldn't send the addition until now.
