/usr/lib should not contain libz.so.1, because it should have been moved 
to /lib with the command "mv -v /usr/lib/libz.so.* /lib"
If you have logged the output of that command, you might check that.

Also, could you check the output of "ls -l /lib/libz.so*" and "ls -l
