Hi Stuart,

Yes.  As I alluded in my OP a few times, I never had any
problems with the keyboard and mice (they do act as one
would expect a keyboard and a mouse to at all times)

Only the dmesg this time (fully unscraped though :).

As I alluded in my OP a few times, the problem I see occurs
on boot-up and seems to stem from something funny
happening between the kernel and Udev.
Let's pretend I don't even have (or use) graphics (i.e. X of
some form and version).  I sit (and I have the right to)
in command mode (prompt, "text" mode) all day long.

I'd highly appreciate if in conjunction with my OP, you would
help me with something untoward you detected in the boot-up
dmesg attached.  If we find something that solves the problem
we'll _then_ worry about graphics behavior if need be.

If several mice/keyboards detected and improperly assigned
drivers to is a relatively "common" phenomenon, we'll have
to wait (don't we?) for the day where the Linux kernel/Udev
developers manage to detect only one device per each device,
and _correctly_ to boot (like they already do with USB printers,
keys and other USB/non-USB devices.)
As an aside, seems like M$ overcame the "advertisement"
hurdle quite a while ago.

As a help/reminder, I'm restating the questions in the title
of the OP, "Udev - USB Keyboard questions":

QUESTIONS
 1.  Why does the _kernel_ appears to "see" the USB keyboard
  (and the mouse, FTM - not shown here) twice?

 2.  Why does the _kernel_ "forces" js on my poor keyboard?
     'Documentation/devices.txt' states
