Has anyone been able to build LFS on a 64bit system?

OK, thank you. I just need a pure 64 bit machine. I tried to build LFS on 32 bit and it was way too slow.

if your wanting to build an x86_64 look at clfs
there you choose if you want pure64 or multilib
