Hi there,

I have some problems compiling lfs on an AMD64 machine. It works quite fine
till binutils pass 2 with the following changes to the normal LFS 6.0 book:

1. passing the configure of gcc and binutils --without-multilib
--disable-multilib (otherwise it won't work)
2. adjusting the specfiles to ld-linux-x86_64.so.2
3. copying the x86_64 headers

Now at Pass2 of binutils, configure (passed --without-multilib and
--without-multilib) works, but make failes with:
Making all in po
make[3]: Entering directory `/mnt/lfs/sources/binutils-build/bfd/po'
file=../../../binutils-`echo fr | sed 's,.*/,,'`.gmo \
  && rm -f $file && PATH=../src:$PATH no -o
$file ../../../binutils-
/bin/sh: no: command not found
make[3]: *** [fr.gmo] Error 127
make[3]: Leaving directory `/mnt/lfs/sources/binutils-build/bfd/po'
make[2]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/mnt/lfs/sources/binutils-build/bfd'
make[1]: *** [all-recursive-am] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory `/mnt/lfs/sources/binutils-build/bfd'
make: *** [all-bfd] Error 2

searching the net reveals, that 'no' (the not found command) is the answer of
configure when searching for a tool. But wich tool?

Some more informations:
Host OS is Suse 9.1 for AMD64

Any ideas? Need more informations?
