Yeah, that's helpful.  :-)

Do we want to add this patch to the current book?  I'd say probably (with a
note to kill it with glibc 2.11 / 2.10.2 / whatever), so I'll hack up
something to go into the patches repo in a while.  Unless someone else
beats me to it.  :-)
