OK, after overcoming jhalfs issues, I finally got this to build.  There are no 
open tickets for LFS-6.5.

Matt,
   I think this is good to go so we can tag it LFS-6.5-rc1, but I'll like to get 
some other sets of eyes on it at the same time.  For a release candidate, it 
probably doesn't need to be perfect, but I think the instructions are solid.

   If you agree, then please tag it and we should be able to set things up for 
an announcement within a day.
