Why do do we recommend against putting FQDN into /etc/sysconfig/network?

 Not an argument against it, just a comment, but some programs put the
hostname into the binaries (e.g. perl, I think), or the build logs, so
it showed up as a difference when I built with/without it.

 For people who don't have a real domain name, there doesn't seem any
obvious advantage.
