I just set up a file that includes all packages and their DL-locations.
You can easily take this file and use e.g. "wget -i LFS.wget" to get all
files you need (I hope I did not forget any :). 

Another tip is - especially for gnu.org - replace all occurences of
gnu.org with one of their mirrors at http://www.gnu.org/order/ftp.html

You can easily do this using sed:
sed "s|ftp.gnu.org|ftp.informatik.rwth-aachen.de/pub|" >LFS.mirror.wget
