LILO

If anyone's seen this and knows what's going on, I'd appreciate it. I've been
following LFS since the 2.2 days, and I've put it on several systems without a
problem (including this one).

One of my computers (a somewhat critical one since it is my gateway and none of
my families windoze boxes handle dhcp that well) doesn't seem to like lilo when
it's built from source. I have tried three different full lfs installs (2.2,
2.3.3, 2.3.5b) on it, and lilo compiles without errors. I set it to install
the loader on the boot sector (which never has caused problems before) and when
I run lilo, it says everything adds fine. I reboot, and here's what I get:

L 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01
01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01 01
(and so on)

I'd think it was something with the disk except for the fact that running a
distro's lilo (slackware or mandrake) from the same lilo.conf works without a
hitch.

Don't know if it makes a difference, but it's a Western Digital 13.6Gb drive,
5400 RPM.

Any ideas? I'm going to be doing the 2.3.6 thang on it over the next few
days...
