#2528: Coreutils-8.1 fails pwd-long test

 Priority: normal | Milestone: 6.6
Component: Book | Version: SVN
 Severity: normal | Keywords:
As the summary suggests, there's a test failure with Coreutils-8.1 that I
missed due to our current use of '|| true' in the test suite invocation.
 The thread starting at http://www.mail-archive.com/bug-
coreutils at gnu.org/msg18565.html discusses what causes this issue, and I
think it's because of us building as root. As reported by Gilles
 Espinasse at http://www.mail-archive.com/bug-
coreutils at gnu.org/msg18590.html this is because we're untarring as root
which doesn't preserve permissions. Testing here shows that
 chmod 755 src
enables that test to pass again.

Confirmation from others would be appreciated before I commit this to the
 book though.
