Summary: chapter 5-expect installation commands too complex
maybe, could also potentially be causing the gcc make
                    check problems
           Product: Linux From Scratch
           Version: CVS
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: Book
        AssignedTo: lfs-book at linuxfromscratch.org
        ReportedBy: gerard at linuxfromscratch.org
         QAContact: lfs-book at linuxfromscratch.org

A simple "./configure --prefix=/stage1" gets the software installed in the right
place and linked against the right libraries. The other options might be
superfluous. There's even a small chance it's causing those gcc make check failures.

Either way, simple is good. If the other configure options are not needed, let's
get rid of them.
