Hi all,
the days ago i set up a brand new LFS-SVN (based on 20081031) system and added
some packages from the BLFS book but for each of them I checked whether there
are new versions. The followin list shows how far I came:

In every line where col 2 has an asterisk, there are (by far) newer versions.
A plus shows that I added the package (its not in the book). I have installed
the versions shown above and the system seems to work very well. Next step
will be adding Xorg, QT4, KDE4 and so on.
My question to you - do you have the same experiences that the version
upgrades are working ok? If so, I'll go for preparing patches on the book to
reflect those updates. If not, a short note would be great!
