start fetchmail with bootscript

Hi,

I use my LFS server to collect my email from different POP-accounts and use
Courier-IMAP to serve my email to a windows machine. To get the email from
the POP-accounts I use fetchmail in daemon mode. I created a
    /root/.fetchmailrc
and
    /etc/rc.d/init.d/fetchmail
and ofcourse the symlinks like this
    ln -s ../init.d/fetchmail ../rc0.d/K20fetchmail
    ln -s ../init.d/fetchmail ../rc1.d/K20fetchmail
    ln -s ../init.d/fetchmail ../rc2.d/K20fetchmail
    ln -s ../init.d/fetchmail ../rc3.d/S39fetchmail
    ln -s ../init.d/fetchmail ../rc4.d/S39fetchmail
    ln -s ../init.d/fetchmail ../rc5.d/S39fetchmail
    ln -s ../init.d/fetchmail ../rc6.d/K20fetchmail
When I run the script manually like so
    /etc/rc.d/init.d/fetchmail start
It starts the fetchmail daemon with no trouble at all. However when I reboot
the
system anduse ps aux or top it doesn't look like fetchmail is running
To test if the bootscript runs I added
    echo "starting fetchmail..." >> /var/log/fetchmail.log
to the fetchmail script and apparently it DID run.

Can somebody tell me why fetchmail won't start automagically ? Thanks

regards,
Jeroen Bruinink
