DRM Kernel/X4.3 version mismatch for Radeon

Got a problem. I'm not really sure exactly what is going on. glxinfo
reports dri disabled. X's log file shows different. Specifically shows
that DRI is enabled but some features not availible. Anyone know where
I can get the appropriate kernel modules? I'm _guessing_ that is the
problem....I seen out on gatos cvs ( http://gatos.sf.net ) that they
were supposedly merged into X 4.2.99. Am I not supposed to build the
DRMs that ship with the kernel? Kerenel version is 2.4.20. Need to
jump to a 2.5? Patch 2.4.20 with the drm from gatos or from X source?
What is the correct action? glxinfo output below. X confing file is
the default with a couple of mods taken from my 4.2.1 which worked
flawless (modelines and screens). Attached is the log file XF86Config
file.

TIA,

DJ
