Actually you can have 2 Windows copies or even 2 different versions of
Windows (such as 95 and 98) on the same partition without doing any hiding
and unhiding. The location of the "Program Files" folder is in the
registry and can be changed by export full registry to text, search and
replace, rebuild registry from scratch (of course you may choose to have
both Wins share Program Files).
Now the only thing you have to do is to put a few rename statements into
autoexec.bat that will rename c:\windows.2 or c:\windows.1 to c:\windows
on startup (unless the correct one is already active).
Of course you need to have 2 different autoexec.bat and config.sys (and to
achieve this and io.sys, too) for both Windows versions but a
little hex editing of io.sys and to replace the names achieves
this easily. Of course you need a patched boot sector that uses the
patched io.sys. But that is all child's play for someone who can use a hex
editor. So it's all just a dull search and replace job in the proper
