Oh, that's my fault. Thanks for reporting that. I added the -p argument to
use a pid file, but I forgot that we don't instruct ntpd to use a pid
file. There are two ways to change this.
1. Add -p $pidfile to the ntpd arguments.
2. Add 'pidfile /var/run/ntpd.pid' to /etc/ntp.conf
